Information related to Melioidosis
Melioidosis is a infectious disease, it is also called as Whitmore disease or Nightcliff gardener's disease.
As per Wiki sources this disease Melioidosis is generally caused by a Gram-negative bacterium, Burkholderia pseudomallei - this bacteria is mostly found in soil and water.
Melioidosis as a disease is mostly prevalent in Thailand and northern Australia.
Melioidosis as a bacterial disease also affects many species of animals in addition to its effects on human beings. Some times this disease result in localized acute or chronic disease or even fatal septicemia.
